Innovation for Sri Lanka
Driven by a clear purpose to deliver sustainable e‑mobility solutions for the future of transportation, SL Mobility began its journey in 2015 with a team of qualified automobile engineers from the University of Moratuwa. This local expertise was strengthened through collaboration with leading European establishments, blending knowledge and innovative thinking to create breakthrough e‑mobility solutions tailored for Sri Lanka.
Our core business focuses on the development of electric motors and advanced powertrain components for electric vehicles. This commitment is powered by continuous Research & Development, where knowledge gathering, product testing, and process implementation play a vital role. Our R&D team—comprising highly skilled engineers and scientists—works passionately to drive innovation while making a positive impact on the environment.
In 2024, we launched the first fleet of LENCAR e‑Scooters in Sri Lanka, deploying over 300 units. These scooters were rigorously tested across diverse road conditions, driving styles, and weather patterns. With the support of our loyal dealer network, we identified and addressed minor operational challenges, developing localized solutions that strengthened product reliability.
